Rescue and relief teams of the Army and Navy along with ships and aircraft have also been deployed near Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coasts. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for area around Kalingapatnam - Vishakhapatnam and Gopalpur - from where the cyclone is expected to cross.

The Uttar Pradesh government said that as many as 30 of the state's 75 districts have zero active cases of Covid-19. It also said that out of the 2,15,209 samples tested in the last 24 hours, merely 14 samples tested positive for the infection.
